Privacy Policy

What we collect when you use Dropoint, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Draft — not legal advice. This is placeholder copy describing intended practice. It must be reviewed and replaced by a qualified legal advisor, aligned with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, before publication.

What we collect

To arrange a delivery we need to know who is sending, who is receiving, and where the package is going. That means your name, phone number, email address, and the pickup and drop-off locations for each order.

For runners applying to join the network, we additionally collect identity documents, referee details and payment information so we can verify applicants and pay them.

How we use it

Order details are shared with the assigned courier only to the extent needed to complete the job. Contact details are used to reach you about a specific delivery and, where you have opted in, about the service more generally.

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Location data

The app collects location data from couriers while they are on an active job so that customers can track a delivery in progress. Customer location is collected only as the pickup and drop-off addresses you enter.

Retention

Order records are retained for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet record-keeping obligations. Runner applications that are unsuccessful are deleted after a reasonable review period.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act 2019 you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or request deletion where we have no continuing lawful basis to retain it.

To make a request, contact us at info@dropoint.com or on +254 742 648 795.
